It is possible easily to split a file to a couple of other files with smaller length. To do this fallow the next steps:

• select Tools/Split File from the Tools menu.
• the File Splitter window will appear.
• use the Browse button to enter the file witch will be spitted
• use the Browse button to select the destination folder for the new files.
• fill the desired name of the first one of the output files.
• fill the desired length of the output files
• press Ok button

After that Hal will create a couple of files with the entered length in the desired directory. The names of these files will be: [file]1, [file]2, [file]3 .........  where [file] is the name for the first file chosen from you.
