Find a data

It doesn't matter are your searching within a file or drive, the procedure is always the same. Depends from the data you are locking for you need to select:

Find/Find [your data type] from the Find menu, where [your data type] is the desired from you data type for searching.

Fill the dialog with the search criteria and press OK

When a match will be found, Hal will scroll the data view, to the byte offset and will mark the result. You could edit the result or just to investigate it. When you press the F3 key or "Find next" from the Find menu.
